About Mark Ganjianpour, M.D.

Sports Medicine and Minimally Invasive Surgery Dr. Ganjianpour is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who grew up in Clearwater, Florida. He attended University of Florida for his undergraduate studies in Microbiology and stayed on at the University of Florida to complete his medical education. After completing his residency in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Ganjianpour obtained subspecialty fellowship training at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in sports medicine, minimally invasive surgery, and arthroscopic reconstruction of the shoulder, knee and ankle. Throughout his career as a Sports Medicine orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Ganjianpour has been involved in the care of athletes and has served as team physician for local high schools since 1996. He has also provided medical coverage for local colleges and athletic organizations including the Great Floridian Triathlon, and has participated in the direct care of international Olympic athletes training in the United States. Dr. Ganjianpour has written book chapters, published articles, and given many local and national lectures on topics pertaining to the field of sports medicine, arthroscopy, and minimally invasive surgery. He has also been a clinical instructor at local and national orthopedic surgery and arthroscopy courses. His specialties include minimally invasive approaches to the treatment of arthritis, cartilage replacement procedures, rotator cuff disease, instability of the shoulder knee and ankle, and ligament injuries.

Dr. Ganjianpour is a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopic Association of North America, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and a Qualified Medical Examiner (Q.M.E) for the State of California Industrial Medical Council, Department of Industrial Relations. He is on Staff at Linden Surgical Center, Cedar Sinai Medical Center, and Olympia Medical Center.
